Premier SIPS – Engineering Disclaimer
Customer Acknowledgment and Waiver of Engineering Services
1. Acknowledgment of Exclusion of Engineering Services
Customer acknowledges and agrees that by electing to exclude engineering services from their Premier SIPS
package, the Company will not provide structural engineering, site-specific design verification, load calculations,
stamped plans, or other engineering-related services.
2. Requirement to Engage Licensed Engineer
Customer agrees that they are solely responsible for engaging a licensed structural engineer to review and
approve the SIP shop drawings provided by Premier SIPS. This review must verify that the SIP design is
structurally adequate for the specific project site, conditions, loads, and code requirements.
Customer understands that Premier SIPS’ SIP shop drawings are not stamped by an engineer, and are intended
to be used in conjunction with architectural and structural drawings prepared by the Customer’s design team.
The SIP shop drawings are to be considered a component of the overall building documentation and are not to
be used as standalone construction documents.
3. Responsibility for Code Compliance and Permitting
Customer accepts full responsibility for ensuring that the final building documentation—including the SIP
design, architectural drawings, and structural drawings—complies with all applicable local, state, and national
building codes and permitting requirements. This includes, but is not limited to, structural performance, wind
and snow loading, seismic design, and other site-specific factors.
4. Waiver of Liability
Customer expressly waives and releases Premier SIPS, its employees, agents, and affiliates from any and all
liability, claims, losses, or damages arising out of:
- Structural inadequacies in the SIP design or implementation;
- Building code violations or failures to obtain necessary approvals or permits;
- Errors or omissions in the SIP shop drawings not reviewed by a qualified engineer;
- Modifications made to the SIP design without proper engineering approval.
5. No Engineering Representations or Warranties
Premier SIPS makes no representations or warranties, express or implied, as to the structural performance or
code compliance of the SIP design or shop drawings when engineering services are excluded.
6. Indemnification
Customer agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Premier SIPS from any and all claims, damages,
expenses, or liabilities (including attorney’s fees) arising out of the Customer’s decision to exclude engineering
services and/or to use unverified or unapproved SIP shop drawings.
